Slovenia is a small country, situated on the Adriatic Sea, opposite the Italian city of Venice. With a population of just over 2 million inhabitants, it has been a member of the European Union since 2004.
Last Friday, April 8th, a group of 14 Slovenians led by Tomāz Sršen visited our winery FERRATUS. I was absolutely amazed by this group.
The level of knowledge about winemaking and wine tasting was very remarkable. And what to say about the human stature of this motley group of sommeliers, journalists and winelovers, which is one of those that leave a mark.
And there are still people who wonder why I like my job so much when one of the reasons, obvious to those who know me a little, is that I love learning from people like them, who have a lot to teach.
My thanks to Tomaz Sršen, editor of the food and wine magazine DOLCE VITA, teacher and WSET 3, for his visit and my wish that he will come back to visit us soon.
Na zdravie!!!
